Welsh Law Firm Helps Pub Chain Expansion
Leading independent pub chain Indapubs has expanded its portfolio thanks to the help of Peter Lynn and Partners.
Coordinated by property development and investment specialist Darren A Lewis, The Island in Kendal Green in London, is the latest acquisition by James Corbett, who formed Indapubs in 2012.
“We purposely look for individual character pubs that we can put our own “stamp” on,” said James, “and the Island fits the bill perfectly.”
After an extensive five-figure renovation, The Island certainly has an identity all of its own and will centre its offering around good food, great service and an extensive range of real ales, beers and fine wines.
“Our vision was to find a venue that could become a focus for great, British food then recruit experienced operators to run it,” continued James, “and thanks to the effort of Darren and the team at Peter Lynn and Partners, we were able to structure a deal quickly in order to open the doors before Christmas.”
Having worked extensively with James and the Indapub Group for all of their previous acquisitions, Darren’s knowledge of the property market enabled him to structure a six-figure deal that benefited all concerned.
“I’ve worked with James on his previous purchases,” explained Darren, “including iconic venues such as The Mitre, The Hillgate, The George and more, so when he approached me with his vision for the Island, we were quick to finalise the acquisition.”
With a focus on food, the menu has a seasonal focus, serving fresh predominantly British produce carefully sourced from the best local producers and the venue is now fully open and ready for the Christmas trade.
