Ian R Jones, B.A.
Ian joined the firm in November 2020 and specialises in Residential Conveyancing, Wills & Probate, Elderly Client Care and a small amount of Employment – specifically Settlement Agreements.
After gaining a 2:1 degree in English Literature from Swansea University, Ian completed a post-graduate CPE in Law at Pontypridd University and Law Practice Course at Bristol.
He completed his training contract in 1994 at T R Harris Arnold & Co – a firm where his late Father David “DM“ Jones was Senior Partner - and remained at the firm until 2020.
During his time at T R Harris Arnold & Co, Ian worked his way up to equity partner and specialised in a number of areas, including:
- Criminal Law
- Civil Law
- Family
- Residential Conveyancing
- Wills & Probate
- Elderly Client Care - (Ian is an accredited professional advisor with The Solicitors For The Elderly)
Outside of work, Ian enjoys history, archaeology, playing pool and watching rugby. He is also an avid Leeds United Fan, with Swansea City a close second!
He is also the Honorary Solicitor to Gorseinon Cricket & Rugby Club (a role his late Father also successfully held), an active Trustee of the Gorseinon Regeneration Trust and supports a number of charities including:
- The Dogs Trust
- Tenovus
- Cancer Research UK
- Macmillan
- the RNIB
Born in Gorseinon and raised in Penllergaer, Ian continues to live in the area with his wife Sam, their stepson, four grandsons and French-bulldogs.
