Special Swans book to be sponsored by South Wales solicitors firm
A book on Swansea City written and produced by Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn special school is to be sponsored by solicitors firm Peter Lynn & Partners.
Each year Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn, a school based in Swansea for pupils aged three to 19 with a wide range of special needs, work on a special enterprise project which gain the pupils an Agored Cymru qualification. Any money raised from the projects is to be donated to local charities.
“The pupils are going to be creating an interactive and printed book featuring interviews and information about the Swans,” said James Williams, Community Coordinator for Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn.
“The book is being supported by the club and will feature the official logo) and the interactive version will be narrated by a former club player.”
All proceeds will go to Ty Hafan Hospice, which also happens to be Peter Lynn& Partners’ chosen charity for 2015.
The finished printed book will also be made available to all Swansea Libraries and schools in the area, and will also tie into the club’s current project to promote literacy through Swansea. There will also be an interactive version.
The launch of the book will be taking place at the Liberty Stadium next March.
“This is a fantastic project and we at Peter Lynn & Partners are only too delighted to be involved,” said PL&P Senior Partner Peter Lynn.
“We are always keen to get involved in community projects like this and as Swansea City fans ourselves it is doubly satisfying to help out Yysgol Pen-y-Bryn. We are also delighted proceeds will be going to Ty Hafan.”
