Peter Lynn and Partners Deliver Entrepreneurship Talk to UWTSD
As part of an on-going partnership with the University of Wales Trinity St David’s, Leading regional law-firm, Peter Lynn and Partners have delivered a talk on entrepreneurship to business students.
Talking about his own journey in business, Senior Partner Peter Lynn outlined the lessons he learned throughout his 30 years in the legal sector as well the pitfalls to avoid when starting a company.
“As a law firm, we regularly see business people making the same mistakes, many of which can be avoided, so having the opportunity to highlight the pitfalls was something we were keen to be involved in.”
With a cross-section of students in attendance, the talk formed part of the Skills for the Workplace module and was well received by both staff and students alike.
Enterprise Lecturer and Programme Manager Brynach Heffernan explained; “We look to prepare our students for the workplace, many of whom will go on to form their own business, so to get a “real-life” insight into what it’s like to run a company was extremely beneficial.”
The talk forms part of an on-going relationship the SA1 based legal practice has with the university and comes on the back of a series of talks to students as well as work placements.
