Peter Lynn and Partners Continue Support of Matthew’s House.
Swansea-based Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitor are delighted to continue their support of Matthew’s House as the charity approaches one of its busiest times of the year.
Based on High Street, Matthew’s House has been helping vulnerable people including those struggling with homelessness in the city for almost 10 years, providing much-needed support and facilities to those in need.
At the heart of their work is Matt’s Café, a community hub where hot meals are served on a pay-as-you-feel basis with a team of volunteers serving over 300 meals daily.
Beyond the café, the charity provides dignity packs, showers, laundry facilities, a community choir, and one-to-one advocacy support. Their mission is simple but profound: to offer hope and practical help to anyone who walks through their doors.
“We are incredibly thankful for another generous donation from Peter Lynn and Partners,” said Thom Lynch, Project Manager at Matthew’s House. “This support enables us to continue providing a safe and welcoming space for people during some of their most difficult times. Whether it’s a hot meal, a warm shower, or a listening ear, donations like this allow us to keep helping those who need it most.”
Thom added, “Homelessness is a complex issue, and the funding will play a crucial role in ensuring we can respond effectively to the needs of our community. It’s about more than just meeting basic needs—it’s about giving people the tools and support they need to move forward.”
In addition to its immediate services, Matthew’s House collaborates with other local organisations to provide targeted support for people facing challenges such as mental health issues, benefit concerns, and rough sleeping.
They’ve also launched the Hope in Swansea app, a free resource that connects users to over 140 support services across the city. This innovative tool ensures individuals can quickly find the help they need.
“Homelessness is one of Swansea’s most pressing challenges, particularly during the winter months,” said Peter Lynn, Senior Partner at Peter Lynn and Partners. “We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better future, and Matthew’s House is making that possible for so many. We’re proud to support such a crucial service.”
