Law Firm Continues to Support The Rucksack Appeal, Swansea.
As the festive season approaches, Swansea-based legal firm Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors continue their heartfelt commitment to supporting the homeless by backing The Rucksack Appeal Swansea for 2024.
Founded and coordinated by Paula Stockley, this vital initiative strives to provide rucksacks filled with essential items to those who find themselves homeless or rough-sleeping in Swansea.
“Winter is an especially challenging time for homeless individuals,” explained Paula. “Our aim is to provide as much support as possible to vulnerable rough sleepers during this difficult season.”
Essential Winter Support
Each rucksack distributed through the appeal contains necessities such as:
- A hat, gloves, and scarf
- Toiletries
- A hoody and warm socks
- A sleeping bag
- A selection pack for a festive touch
- Other critical items to help navigate the harsh winter conditions
Expanding the Appeal in 2024
Since its inception in 2016, the appeal has grown to serve the community all year round, with rucksacks provided during both the summer and winter months.
“In past years, we’ve typically distributed 20-22 rucksacks in winter and 40-50 in summer,” Paula shared. “This year, however, we aim to exceed 100 rucksacks, which will be available at Matt’s Cafe and Zac’s Place, Neath among other places.”
A Longstanding Partnership
Peter Lynn and Partners have been loyal supporters of the appeal since 2017. Senior Partner Peter Lynn expressed pride in the firm’s ongoing involvement:
“Paula approached us for the first time in 2017, and we were moved by the impact of her initiative. We’ve proudly contributed to this important cause every year since.”
