Rhea Watkins, Legal Services Apprentice of the Year

Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors are proudly celebrating the success of Rhea Watkins, who has been awarded Legal Services Apprentice of the Year at the 2025 Gower College Swansea Annual Apprenticeship Awards.

The prestigious ceremony, held at the Swansea.com Stadium, recognised outstanding apprentices who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and achievement in their respective fields.

Rhea’s journey into law is an inspiring one. Having originally pursued a career in teaching, she decided to explore new opportunities and joined Peter Lynn and Partners in 2023 with no prior legal qualifications.

Starting as an assistant within the firm’s Llanelli office, Rhea quickly developed a passion for the legal profession.

Recognising her enthusiasm and potential, the firm supported Rhea in her pursuit of legal qualification, enrolling her in the CILEX Level 3 Course at Gower College in 2024.

She has since excelled in her studies and now works out of the MOrriston office in the Residential Conveyancing department as a Legal Assistant to Gemma Hopkins.

Reflecting on her award win, Rhea said:

“I am absolutely thrilled to have won this award. The apprenticeship has been a fantastic opportunity, offering me an alternative route into law that combines hands-on experience with structured learning. Studying while working has allowed me to apply legal theories to real-life cases, which has strengthened my understanding of the subject. I am incredibly grateful to Peter Lynn and Partners for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey.”

Peter Lynn, Senior Partner at Peter Lynn and Partners Solicitors, commented on Rhea’s achievement:

“We are immensely proud of Rhea and her well-deserved recognition at this year’s Apprenticeship Awards. Her commitment, enthusiasm, and ability to balance work and study are truly commendable. At Peter Lynn and Partners, we strongly believe in nurturing talent and providing alternative pathways into the legal profession, and Rhea’s success is a testament to the effectiveness of such initiatives.”

The firm remains dedicated to supporting apprentices and trainees, reinforcing its commitment to developing the next generation of legal professionals.

As Rhea progresses through her CILEX course and continues her legal journey, she stands as an inspiration to those considering a career in law through non-traditional routes.
